Under a contract with The Wilderness Society, we are working with a wide spectrum of community members to develop a federal public lands legislative proposal that protects and restores many remaining wild public lands and rivers in Mendocino, Humboldt, Trinity and Del Norte Counties, addresses fire management planning, supports expansion of the efforts to clean up damage from trespass grows on public lands, expands recreation access and more.
This legislation, introduced by Congressman Jared Huffman, has passed the House of Representatives and is now in the U.S. Senate, via U.S. Senator Alex Padilla.
